This will be our seventh Christmas at the Pond. Debbie ordered Frosty from QVC for our very 1st Christmas out here. (For those of you that do not know, Debbie has QVC on speed dial. The UPS man and she are best friends and have even worked out signals to know when I am home and not to ring the doorbell. There should be a blog about this - well, another time) With the exception of last year when an ice storm prevented putting up the outdoor decorations Frosty has been in our backyard in December adding to our christmas cheer.
This morning Maverick and I pulled Frosty from his box and prepared him for his regular spot. As we plugged him in to inflate him and postion him just right...he would not fully inflate. We checked him over and could find no holes. I can only figure it is the motor that inflates him. It must not be turning as quickly as it once did. We knocked on the motor, turned it off and back on a couple of times, made sure all air passageways were clear and even pleaded with it. After 30 minutes we pronounced him uninflatable. His bottom portion filled up okay but he was unable to hold up his chest and head. Debbie caught the action on a short video as we said goodbye. I will post the video below on this blog and on Facebook too.

Some will say his demise was brought about by global warming .... but I think it's because of the past election.... after all you said he was OK till this year!
